Know as the number "one" punch in the standard boxing series the jab is a straight punch with your front hand thrown from the chin. Orthodox boxers (right handed fighters who stand with their left foot forward) throw the jab with the left hand. Execution - Stand with feet shoulder width apart in an "L" shape with your dominant foot to the rear. hand up by the chin with elbows points downwards. Extend your front hand out straight twisting your hand so that your palm is facing downwards as it reaches the full length of your arms extension. Retract your arm performing the reverse of exactly the movement. To generate power and speed slightly rotate your chest inwards as the arm extends.
